Prince Goodspeaker

Once, a king and a queen had a beautiful baby. They named him Prince Goodspeaker. The king hoped this name would help his son in later life. The prince was no ordinary baby. He was an ardent follower of the Buddha–the Enlightened One. He wanted to gain enlightenment like the Buddha. He was reborn in many lives. Sometimes he was born as an animal, sometimes as a god and sometimes as a human being. In all his lives, he always tried to learn from his mistakes. He knew the three root causes of suffering are craving, anger and selfishness. He would replace these poisons with the three purities–non-attachment, loving kindness and wisdom.
