Predjama Castle is a Renaissance castle built within a cave mouth in South-central Slovenia. Built in Gothic style under a natural rocky arch with a high stonewall to make access difficult, the castle was first mentioned in the year 1274 with the German name Luegg, when it was acquired and expanded by the Luegg noble family, also known as the Knights of Adelsberg. The expansion included the creation of exits that were at the top of the cliff, 25 metre away from the edge. The castle has also been the location of Jackie Chan’s movie ‘Armour of God’.
