Ogi, the Horse

Ogi, the Horse

Once, there was a farmer who lived with his son and a horse named Ogi, in a farm. The father daily took Ogi to another farm to work. One day the father was too busy, as he was working in the field, so he ordered his son to take Ogi to another farm. The little boy was very idle who didn’t want to do any work. He gave an excuse to his father, “As it is Saturday today, I have to play.” Then the father said to him to play after returning from the farm. Then the boy took Ogi, who was a big, brown, gentle horse, and told him to move quickly.

The boy and Ogi struggled to climb the steep slope leading to the farm. The boy was getting late, so he started throwing pebbles at him to make him go faster. Then again, the boy picked up a handful of pebbles and scattered them under Ogi’s feet. The boy was surprised to see that Ogi was able to trot faster since he could get a better grip on the road. The boy patted Ogi in apology.
