Notti, the imp, wanted to go to school. Missy, a little girl, was his neighbour. She went to school every day. One morning, Notti joined Missy on her way to school. At first, Notti was very excited and sat quietly listening to the teacher. As the day went by, he began to feel bored. He started playing pranks to liven things up. Notti created a flickering fire that floated about the classroom. The students and the teachers started screaming. Then, he put out the fire with a jet of water from the roof. All the students were soaked. Some began to cry. Notti caused a hot wind to swirl about the room. All the children’s clothes dried up in a jiffy. Now, everyone except Missy was scared. Missy knew that Notti had caused this entire ruckus. She caught him by the ear and dragged him home. “Never again will I take you to school, you mischievous imp!” said Missy to Notti.
