Mulla Nasruddin had a habit of wearing a necklace made out of a ring of pumpkin. One day, Mulla went on a journey with his friend and slept in an inn. His friend took the necklace off and put it around his own neck. When Mulla woke up and saw this, he said, “I know that the man with the pumpkin necklace is me…so who am I?” His friend had a laugh at Mulla. Later when they wanted to share a meal, they couldn’t decide to order fish or goat. After much argument, the friend won the debate and ordered fish. Just moments later, the friend noticed a man outside stealing his donkey, and ran out to try and catch him. Mulla immediately got up. The waiter asked him, “Are you going to file a theft report?” “No, I am going to see if I can change our order before it is too late!” said Mulla.
