Mantra of success (Essay Writing)

What is the real mantra of success? Why amongst the millions of people only a few taste the success? Obviously there is something that successful ones possess that others don’t. Everyone has some goal or ambition of some kind or other but only rare succeed is reaching that goal and rise taller in the crowd of no-achievers. And success begets fame, glory, power and dominance over others. Those who do not succeed can only imagine the sweet taste of success. Sometimes successful people don’t knows how the unsuccessful yearn for it.
A hungry person know the value of the food whereas well fed people don’t. So, when someone asked ‘What is the tastiest thing in the world?’ The correct answer was ‘Hunger’. Even a well laid out table may not interest a person who is not hungry while a ravenously hungry person would find even a dry bread heavenly in taste. Thus, unsuccessful ones know how precious the success it. It is the best fruit of life.
But, what begets success? The answer is not easy. It is a combination of factors. The first factor is hard work. The path to success lies through strife, struggle, sweat, dedication, toil and even blood. It is still more difficult to stay on the plane, the success has put one on. Sometimes, achievement of success makes aimless without any further goal. Thus, one can be left on a lonely plateau. Maintaining and managing the success is even more difficult than achieving it. Many successful people squandered the success for failing to manage it. This factor has made many observers to say that real thing is the journey to success. The end of the journey is the end of the success. It is not completely true, only a partial truth, it is. And it is an escapist kind of truth. The success becomes meaningful when it is employed to work for the benefit of the people in the field of success achieved, society and the nation. One’s success must be expanded to benefit others on and on, to give more and more space to it to make it a real success.

One popular belief is that success is earned by 99% perspiration and 1% inspiration. There is no substitute for hard work. Relentless toil and sweat takes one to the success. But it is not totally true. First of all it is imperative for one to choose right goal. The goal should be agreeable with one’s bend of mind, faculties and potential. A man with intellectual mindset should not opt for a military career as generalship his goal. A sports minded person can’t become a research scientist or a writer.
So, the choice of right goal also plays a great part in success. Only an intellectual type can hope to become a scholar or a great writer. Hard work or perspiration can show results only when the mind, spirit and body toil in harmony. All the successful people are those who chose correct professions and goals to achieve. Then their hard work fructified into success. You can’t plant a blackberry tree with the hope of harvesting mangoes.
Similarly only luck, intuition and intelligence can’t work into success. The inspiration also needs to be backed up by hard work. Patience, toil, perseverance and application of mind are the rock foundation for your success provided you have the right goal in mind. You won’t need rock foundation if you intend to build castle in the air or a tree house. The people with right aim worked hard for success. The luck and genius with right goal in mind met the success when supplemented by hard work. This was the success formula applied by politicians, actors, musicians, painters, sports persons, industrialists, scientists, engineers etc.
Most of the people fail because of wrong pursuits, feeble effort, shifty minds, lack of dedication and commitment. The story of king Bruce is an shining example of commitment and never-say-die spirit. He tried again and again and at last succeeded in defeating his enemy. It takes several attempts to scale the Mount Everest. India gained freedom only after a relentless battle against the British for 100 years. Here the ultimate success was guaranteed by the fact that the goal was true and correct. There was no doubt about it.
Other ingredients required for success are right motivation, unshakable resolve, will power and self belief. It is said that nothing is impossible. It is the word found in the dictionary of fools and frail. Our desires remain unfulfilled because we ourselves doubt their genuineness and desirability.
There is no true urge to work for their gain. When a desire is true it transforms into ambition and one backs it with one’s commitment, effort, perseverance and dedication. The effort finally bears the fruit of success. Will power can work wonders. It is such a powerful motivating force that it has changed the course of history several times and so was the fortunes of the mankind. All the mighty names of the history were power houses of will power. Remember the examples of Alexander, Joan of Arc, Napoleon, Genghis Khan, Ashoka, Guru Gobind Singh Mahatma Gandhi etc. They were all determined character.
A man striving for success never puts off an act to tomorrow what he can do today. Because the habit of procrastination reflects the lack of commitment and perseverance. A man seeking success can not afford to lose any time as it is the world’s most precious commodity. Lost time can not be recovered or compensated. One must always be punctual in work and habits. Only those who had make best use of time and opportunities have been able to made or create cultures, civilisations, discoveries, inventions, gain achievements and victories. Instead of waiting they created opportunities for themselves. All the great ones ever found the life so short and so much to be done or achieved.
Thus, an aspiring person must define his goal, objective, priorities, plans and work schedule. Then, he must pursue his goal with single minded devotion and commitment. Put in hard work however humble it may be. Don’t worry about what the people say. For you, your work is your sacred duty.
Only good aims are not enough without noble means. Perspiration sanctifies your work. There is no shortcut to true success. The success gained through shortcuts and dubious means is never genuine. It will prove counter productive. The fruit so earned is bound to be full of worms. One’s aim is sacred and so are the means. Success is never an end in itself. It is an continuing process of excellence.
