Magical Drawing (Physics Experiments)

Have you ever wanted to create something that blended art and science? Well, here’s your chance! In this experiment, you’ll get to construct a drawing that has moving parts. The parts, however, aren’t magical-just magnetic.
Things Required:
Two poster boards or stiff cardboards
Box of crayons
Markers
Tape
A bunch of metal paper clips
Pair of scissor
A small magnet
Directions:
Draw a colourful setting on a poster board. Be creative. The setting can range from a city street to a fish tank.
Identify several objects that will move around within the setting, such as helicopters, cars or tropical fish. Draw these objects on a separate sheet of poster board. Use a pair of scissors to cut out their outlines carefully. Colour the objects. Tape a paper clip on the underside of each cutout.
Brace the poster board upright. Position a movable cutout on the scene. Place a magnet behind the board so that it may be opposite the paper clip of the object. As you move the unseen magnet, the object will move within your scene. What happens to the object when you release the magnet? What happens to the object when you remove the magnet from the back of the board?

This Is What Happens:
Magnetic fields can easily pass through paper. When the magnet was placed behind the poster board, it attracted the paper clip. The force was so strong that the clip remained held against the upright surface.
