The Tidong community has another sweet custom where once the ceremony is done, a curtain is raised between the bride and the groom. If the groom wants to see the bride’s face, he must sing love songs for her. Only when he satisfies the love ballad requirement, do the members of family lower the curtain so that he may see his bride’s face.
