While the people were busy rejoicing, an old sage came there and asked if he could talk to Anjana in private. Anjana nodded, wondering what the sage had in his mind. The sage said gently, “Whenever someone wins a battle for us, we gift something precious to that person. Today, you and Kesari together defeated Sambasadan. We would like to give you something as per the custom. But can I ask you something very important, Anjana? Will you marry Kesari?” The sage went on, “As both of you are courageous, you two would make a perfect couple!” Anjana hesitated for a second, and then spoke softly, “Yes, if Kesari is willing… .” The sage was overjoyed to hear Anjana agree to the proposal. “We have already talked to Kesari about the matter. He wants to marry you. He thinks you are very fearless and beautiful, too.” Kesari and Anjana got married on a suitable auspicious day.
