Jeans

Levi Strauss is said to be the one who invented jeans, although the material is said to be associated with Italy from where the material ‘Jeane’ was first exported and produced. It is said that he once met a young miner in the year 1852 who needed a pair of strong pants. After he had designed a durable pair of pants for him, others also wanted the same. He later established the ‘Levi’s’ brand to sell blue jeans. Later on, Jacob Davis came up with new ideas and asked Strauss to partner him, and they came together with the concept of improvement in fastening Pocket-Openings on 20 May, 1873. It was the efforts from Strauss that made jeans a household name. Even today, jeans from the company are considered to be the best in the market. Initially, Levi’s jeans were sold at a record price of $1.50, which is currently close to $40 dollars.
