Once, there was a famous monk. A number of disciples practised meditation under him. One day, one of the monk’s students went to him and said, “I am not able to meditate properly. I feel distracted. Sometimes, my legs start aching, or I fall asleep. I cannot concentrate. What should I do?” The monk smiled at him and said, “It will pass.” The student was confused but went back to his meditation. A week later, the student came back to the monk and said, “I feel wonderful. I am able to meditate properly. I feel peaceful, aware and so alive. I am able to concentrate properly.” The monk once again smiled at the student and said, “It will pass.” The student understood that life changes from one minute to another. He just needed to be patient and calm always.
Moral: Life is always changing; nothing is permanent.
