Hong Kong is a big city. It is located south of Mainland China. It had been a British Colony for over a 100 years, until 1997 when it got autonomy.
Why it is special: The country maintains a system of ‘One country, two systems’ and is considered one of the most noteworthy financial centres in the world. Known for its beautiful skyline and natural harbour, Hong Kong has the second largest number of high-rises in the world and the largest network of public transport system in the world, covering 90% of the population. While it is known the world over to have an extremely competitive economy, Hong Kong is also the most visited city in the world.
