When Hanuman said he would not consider anything worthy if it did not bear the name of Lord Ram, people began to murmur again. The minister said, “Don’t you think you are being unreasonable? You say you will not wear anything without Lord Ram’s name on it. What about your body, then? Can you prove to us that you have Ram’s name on it, too?” Hanuman gave a hearty laugh, “Yes, I can prove it now! Just watch!” He then plucked out one hair from his arm and held it next to the minister’s ear. The minister was awestruck when he heard the name ‘Ram, Ram, Ram’ pulsating from the hair! He fell at Hanuman’s feet and begged for forgiveness. Ram warmly embraced Hanuman. People understood that Hanuman was a true devotee of Ram. They praised him and pronounced that there was nobody like him in the whole world.
