Interesting fact : The nymphs of the green stonefly live in water bodies, and are an indicator of good water-quality conditions.
The green stonefly is predominantly green in colour and has tentacles-like gills protruding from its abdomen. They live in bush covered areas and cold water of stony bottom streams. As nymphs, they are carnivorous in nature, feeding on small invertebrates from the stream. The larvae grow to be adults in a span of 1 year.
