Interesting fact : Known as external parasites, fleas do not have wings, but are extremely agile and have mouths shaped-like tubes, so as to feed off their host.

3 mm in height, fleas are considered to be one of the best jumpers amongst all the animals. Fleas can jump up to 7 inches high and 13 inches far. For a flea to reproduce, it must first feed on blood. Females lay about 20 eggs on the body of the host. Very often, the eggs might roll off and fall on the ground resulting in the area where the host resides to become the primary area for the growth of fleas.
