Rose’s Grandma often told her stories about fairies. Grandma said, “Rose, fairies are kind and loving. If you believe in them, they are for real. So, whenever you feel helpless, call them.” One day, Rose’s neighbour Daisy fell very ill. The doctors said she would not live long. Rose was heartbroken. She loved Daisy dearly, for Daisy always took good care of her and helped her. Rose ran to the garden and called upon the fairies. “Dear Fairies, I believe you are real; please come and help Daisy.” The Princess Fairy heard Rose’s call. She went to the Doctor Fairy and said, “Rose never asked for help in her own troubles. Her love is selfless. We must make Daisy well!” Doctor Fairy went to bless Daisy at once. The next morning, when Rose woke up, she saw Daisy, hale and hearty, watering the garden. Rose cried out in pleasure, “Thank you, fairies; I know you are for real!”
