The excretory system is an organ system that helps eliminate the liquid waste from the body. This organ system consists of the following organs: a pair of kidneys, ureter, bladder and urethra. Each organ of this system performs a specific task. The kidneys form the liquid waste (urine) by filtration of plasma. The ureter carries urine from the kidneys to the bladder and the urinary bladder acts as a storage tank for the urine. Urethra, the last part of the urinary system, expels urine from the bladder.
