They live in packs of ten or so, although most live alone. Over time, their diet has become omnivorous; they eat what they hunt, as well as fruit, vegetables and human-disposed scraps of food. They breed only once a year, giving birth to a litter of about five pups. The dingo rarely attacks humans, unless confronted.
