Delilah didn’t let down her determination to know the fact what made Samsung strong and powerful, as compared to the rest of the people. Samsung at last revealed his secret and said that his strength lay in his hair which had not been cut since his birth. He believed that God had blessed him with this, in return of Nazirite vow. Now that she knew his strength, she was sure of winning the silver pieces. She comforted Samsung and made him sleep peacefully. While he was sound asleep, she cut off his hair. Then she suddenly screamed, “Samsung, wake up; the Philistines are here.” He woke up to fight against them but found that he was weak and helpless. Delilah won her prize money, but Samsung lost all his power as he broke his promise to God.
