The loyal spies informed David about what Absalom intended. At once he and his men set to cross River Jordon and reached a place where he had lots of supporters. They were served with food and blankets, which they needed badly. After a couple of days, David asked his men to get rid of Absalom army. However, he asked his men not to kill his son, as he was the only one left. His men soon chased Absalom and his men, and defeated him. When Absalom was trying to escape, he got stuck with in the branches of the tree, and Joan later went ahead and killed him. He didn’t want anyone to conspire against King David. Joan knew that the King would not be happy to receive the news of his son’s death.
