David, the Giant Killer

Samuel, after agreeing to allow David to go into the battlefield to fight the giant, gave him his bronze helmet and heavy swords. However, David was not comfortable with these weapons as he was not a soldier himself. He said the same to the King. On being asked what weapons he would like to carry with himself to fight the giant, he ran down towards the river and picked up some pebbles and checked his leather sling. Then he picked up his stick and marched towards his enemy. Goliath was annoyed with his opponent and challenged him. David confidently said that he believed in God and with His help he would defeat him. Then he attacked the giant with the pebbles, which hit him on his forehead and then he quickly picked up the sword and killed Goliath.
