Found in the Sea of Cortez, these beautifully coloured fish live in small groups in reefs. Femalesand males have yellow, red and blue-green stripes running along their bodies while some terminal, females (that become males) have blue head and broad yellow bars behind them. This fish feeds on crustaceans, algae, eggs of fish and sea urchins. Juveniles clean parasites from larger fish.
