You will need:

- Pen
- Paper
- Clock
We have already conducted one experiment to try and understand how our brain works, but figure out this experiment to see
how much of your prefrontal cortex you use.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Take your pen and paper and draw out the 9 dots on a piece of paper.
- Taking 9 minutes, try and connect all the dots to one another without lifting your pen from the paper.
- If you get it, then kudos to you. However if you are struggling with the image, look at the diagram given below.
RESULT
The answer is quite simple. Only, we are conditioned to think in a specific manner, and as a result struggle when asked to think differently. Our prefrontal cortex and the right side of our brain are responsible for helping us think out of the box and improve our creativity. However the left side is the more logical part which very often suppresses our innovative abilities. As mentioned before, studies are now being conducted where scientists are passing tiny electrical impulses in the prefrontal cortex to try and increase the creativity in people. This research has actually shown positive results.
