With a wingspan of 108 mm, this colourful butterfly has very consistent patterned wings. It resides in the tropical rainforests of India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and South-East Asia. Their diet consists of nectar from the Lantana plant and other flowers. They are known to settle on the ground as well so as to absorb moisture from it. The larvae are known to feed on the leaves of passion vines and moonseeds.
