Clematis is an evergreen herbaceous perennial vine. The almondscented, star-shaped flowers are violet-pink or wine-coloured on the tips, fading to white at the base. A tuft of creamy yellow anthers with greenish connectives can been seen at the centre of the flowers. It is great for filling up a bare fence. Clematis blooms abundant flowers in the late spring followed by silvery grey seed heads. This vigorous climber is ideal for walls and fences, cottage gardens, scented gardens.
