A beautifully embroidered handkerchief lay on the path from the farmhouse to the barn. Never in his life had Bobby seen anything so tiny and so pretty. Bobby was a small frog who lived in the farm pond. He hopped off with the wisp of cloth to store it in the hollow under the tree. He stored all his treasures there: buttons, pebbles, the broken pieces of a cup with a rose on it, two marbles, some nuts and a ribbon. When the rain came, Bobby showed his treasures to his friend, Hilda, and he asked her to marry him. Hilda was so happy that she agreed. “But I want to wear that beautiful white veil on my head for the wedding,” she said. Bobby agreed. And a lovely wedding was held at the pond with all the farm animals, the frogs and the fish attending it!
