One day, King Solomon noticed a young and energetic man who was working hard to repair the walls of the palace. He was pleased with his work and promoted him. His name was Jeroboam. One day when Jeroboam was walking down the road, he noticed a priest walking down his way. His name was Ahijah who stopped near Jeroboam and tore off his clothes into ten pieces and handed them one by one to Jerobaom. Then he said that God wanted him to take care of the ten tribes and become the new king. Also, he asked him not to repeat the mistakes Solomon had committed.
