There was an unfortunate village that had no drinking water. The villagers had to walk miles to fetch water. Aruni, the young and courageous girl of this village, decided to find a solution to the water problem. Encouraged by her geography teacher, Aruni asked everyone in the village to collect rain water, but no one listened to her. She alone used to conserve rain water in a ditch that she had dug. The water being dirty, no one used this water. The geography teacher told Aruni that she might find water inside if she could dig the ground. Since she had collected water in a small ditch, there might possibly be drinking water underground. Aruni asked the villagers to help her dig but everyone was cynical. So Aruni started digging the surface alone. Each day, she was disappointed, but she continued her search. One day, she found water. She happily shared water with the villagers.
