One day, Bella, the fairy, went out to practise flying. She flew round and about so much that she lost her way home. She tried hard but could not find her way back. At last, tired out and very weary, Bella flew down to earth. She landed in the village of Golden Rust. She sat on a big stone in the park. To cheer herself, she made up a little rhyme and began to sing:
Pixie Dust, Golden Rust
I am lost, Take me home… .
To her surprise, a real live fairy showed up in front of her! The village of Golden Rust was a pixie village. “Bella,” said the pixie, “come, I will show you the road to your home.” The pixie took her to a place where the road forked six ways. All roads were lined with different trees. He pointed to one lined with Rowan trees and said, “Always follow the Rowans and they will take you home!”
