A strong military leader and king, Alexander united the Greek city-states after his father’s death and led the Corinthian League from 336 BC to 323 BC. He extended his campaign throughout Asia, and resultantly became the King of Asia, Babylon and Persia, creating Macedonian colonies in all these regions.
