In the beautiful city of Paris lived an artist, Peter. He painted beautiful paintings but was unable to sell them in any exhibition. One day, after an unsuccessful exhibition, Peter sat in an inn. He drank a green herbal drink. An old man, who sat next to him, said, “I see; Absinth has decided to help you!” “How can you say that?” asked Peter. Pointing towards his drink, the old man said, “No one can drink this without his blessing!” “Who is Absinth?” Peter asked. “Absinth is a green‑coloured spirit. His magic is in this green drink and he loves art. When he blesses the artist, he can create magic.” Peter did not believe in spirits. However, since that day, all his new creations were sold. Suddenly, people lined up to buy his paintings! Peter knew that was magic and he thanked Absinth, the spirit of art, for blessing him.
