Once upon a time, there was a very prosperous kingdom. One day, the king of that kingdom decided to visit some distant areas of his kingdom. The journey was very tiring, for he had to walk at several places. The roads that he had travelled on were very rough and stony. When he came back to his palace, he complained that his feet hurt. While resting, he decided to do something about the roads. So, he ordered, “Cover every road of the kingdom with leather!” Now, his ministers became worried as this would cost a huge amount of money. Next day, when the King was ready to leave, one of his wise ministers suggested, “Your Majesty, why do you have to spend so much money? Why don’t we just cut a little piece of leather to cover your feet?” And he took out a pair of shoes for the king. The king was surprised that the problem had such a simple solution.
Moral: Try and change yourself first.
