Not all were happy with the decision of Samuel to make Saul the King of Israel. Instead, they started planning conspiracy against the people of the land. The powerful army of the Ammonites marched their army through the city of Jabesh, and threatened the people. The people knew that they were no match to the powerful army and requested to make a peaceful treaty with them. As an agreement, they wanted the people to blind the right eye of every citizen of the land, which surprised them. With no option they agreed to the terms and asked them to give them seven days, and if no one came to help them they would agree to the terms. When Saul heard this, he couldn’t hold back his anger and quickly rushed to help the people.
