Once Tenali went to his landlord’s house for collecting money but he stepped on cow dung by mistake. To wash it he went to the nearest pond. Seeing this the landlord shouted that he could not wash his dirty feet in the landlord’s pond. He hence; had to cut off the leg before he entered his place. Raman did not say anything but went home understanding that the landlord did not want to give his money.
Once home he created a manure pit in his flower bed. When one day the landlord went past his house he noticed the beautiful flowers. Raman invited him to have a closer look at him. As the landlord did so he fell into the manure pit neck- deep.
Seeing this Raman came out with a sword and said, “You can’t wash the muck in my pond, so I will help cut your head so that you may leave the dirty body here itself.”
