Flubber (Creative Chemistry Experiments)

You will need:

  1. ¾ cup of cold water
  2. ½ cup of warm water
  3. 1 cup of normal school
    glue
  4. Liquid food colour and
    glitter (if you want)
  5. 1 teaspoonful of Borax powder
  6. 2 bowls

Bounce it, stretch it, flatten it or roll it; have
fun any way you like with your very own
flubber.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In one bowl, mix together the cold water, the food colour, glitter and the glue.
  2. In another bowl, take the warm water and dissolve the Borax powder well into it.
  3. Now mix the glue solution into the Borax solution and knead well.
  4. Pour out any excess water.

RESULT

When the Borax powder mixes with the glue solution, it creates putty-like substance which you can play with, squish, bounce, drip or stretch. It will stay for two weeks, if stored well.
