INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Firstly, with the help of an adult place all
the potting soil into the shallow pot. Make
sure the pot does not have a hole at the bottom.
  2. Next, look around for different types of moss growing around in your neighbourhood. It could be in the garden or on the barks of trees or from the nursery.
  3. Ask an adult to help you plant all the moss into the shallow pot so that you may create your very own terrarium.
  4. Add leaves, small shells, stones or even small barks of trees to create a more detailed landscape.
  5. Add some plastic decorative items.
  6. Spray water on the moss every day and do not keep it in direct sunlight.

RESULT

You will soon have your very own terrarium. A terrarium is a sort of miniature live landscape. While the plastic decorative items and stones etc. may not be living but the moss is. Thanks to the soil, air and water, your moss will grow and thrive. Prepare a book to record the growth rate of the moss and understand the growth cycle of moss and plants throughout the year.
