Elyfid, a gentle giant, lived in Anwin town, just outside of Cornwall. He was much bigger than all the other giants in Anwin. All creatures around him were afraid of him because of his size. One day, Elyfid went out for a walk in Gwerh Park. Suddenly, he heard someone weeping. He pushed aside some bushes and found a little girl. She was sitting on the grass, crying her heart out. With great difficulty, Elyfid lowered himself to her level. “What’s your name, little one?” he said, expecting her to get up and run away. “Niki,” she replied with a gulp, “and I am lost!” “I’ll help you find your way home; come with me!” said Elyfid. He put her on his shoulders and walked into Anwin. After asking around, they found her home. Her parents were overjoyed to have their little daughter back. They thanked Elyfid and told everyone about his gentleness. From that day on, nobody ran away from Elyfid.
