Maira, a young fairy, was very interested in rock climbing. Her best friend, Betty, always encouraged Maira. Another fairy, Patty, was jealous of Maira. One day, Patty challenged Maira, “Can you climb up the cliff without using magic?” Betty knew Patty wanted to hurt Maira, so she said, “Maira, don’t go. You are not ready for it.” Maira said in anger, “Betty, you are just jealous of me!” Then, she went with Patty. When she tried climbing up the cliff, she lost her balance and fell. Her left leg had broken. Helplessly, she called for Patty, who had run off. Betty had seen Maira’s fall in her magic crystal and flew to her, at once. Then, she cast a spell to cure Maira’s leg and safely brought her home. Maira apologised for her behaviour and they both became friends again. As for Patty, she was punished for her evil behaviour by the Warden of Fairies.
