Once, a boy lived with his mother. He loved to go to the forest. Many kinds of trees grew in the forest. Some were laden with fruits and flowers. One day, the boy was enjoying himself in the forest when he saw a new plant. He had never seen that plant before. It was green with sharp, pointed leaves. As soon as the boy touched the plant, it stung the boy. The boy was shocked and ran home crying. He said to his mother, “Mother, though I touched the plant gently yet it stung me. The sting pains me very much.” His mother replied, “Oh! That must be the Nettle plant. The next time you touch a Nettle, grasp it boldly, and it will be as soft as silk to your hand, and not in the least hurt you.”
