Once, a fawn and his mother lived in the forest. They were very happy together. The fawn loved and admired his mother a lot. His mother also loved him a lot. One day, while they were grazing in the forest, a hound started chasing them. The mother got frightened and told her son to run away and she herself ran very fast. Finally, they were safe. But the fawn was not happy. He asked his mother, “Why were you so scared of the hound? You are larger than he, and more used to running. You also have big horns for defending yourself.” The mother smiled at this. She said, “What you say is true, my dear. But it is in my nature to get frightened of the hound. I cannot change myself.” The fawn kept quiet and never questioned his mother after that day.
