Riomaggiore is one of the 5-century old villages that make up the Cinque Terre along the coastline of the Italian Rivera. Riomaggiore is the first of the Cinque Terre as one travels north from La Spezia. The village date back all the way to the 13th century. Known for its historic character and wine, Riomaggiore is a picturesque town situated in a valley with a shoreline on the Gulf of Genoa. Its main streets are lined with restaurants and shops are a major pull for tourists.
