Jeffrey was a bad neighbour. He quarrelled with everyone. The farmers near by were all fed up of his bad temper and his dreadful tantrums. The animals on all the neighbouring farms also kept away because he would throw things at them or beat them if he found them near his fence. One day, a small puppy strayed into Jeffrey’s farm. He shooed him away, but the puppy wagged his tail and rolled over on his back, waiting to be tickled! Jeffrey didn’t know whether to laugh or to throw him out. Every morning, the puppy would arrive, wag his tail and roll over! After a few days, Jeffrey couldn’t help feeding the little fellow some bread and milk. Soon, he settled down on Jeffrey’s doorstep. It was no use! Jeffrey took him in and gave him a bath, a bed and a name. He became Buddy and changed Jeffrey into a friendly person too!
