Prince Patrick was a bully. He behaved very rudely with the attendants and the stable men, the footmen and the soldiers in the palace. Everyone kept silent because he was the king’s son. But none liked his behaviour. One day, a wise old man came to the palace and the king and the queen told him about Patrick’s behaviour. “Just ignore him and his bad behaviour till he changes,” suggested the old man. This was going to be very difficult, but everyone in the palace was told about the plan. When Prince Patrick was rude to anyone, he simply walked off! Patrick shouted and flung a shoe at the attendant who dared to walk off. Then he found that everyone was ignoring him. One day, the queen found him sitting under a tree, crying. He felt lonely. “You must stop bullying people, Patrick,” said the queen, “Then people will be friendly!” Prince Patrick decided to change himself.
