There was once a little boy named Nathan. He had a pet parrot. Nathan’s father had gifted the parrot to Nathan on his birthday. Nathan fed the parrot and changed its water regularly. Whenever he did this, his father used to be with him. Nathan was not allowed to open the parrot’s cage in his father’s absence. Nathan never understood why his father didn’t allow him to open the cage. Once, he was sitting on a swing, watching the parrot. Suddenly, he heard a little voice. “Open the cage and take out the bird. Your father will never know!” the voice said. That was the bad voice. Just then, another little voice said, “No Nathan! Your father has told you not to do so.” That was the good voice. But Nathan listened to the bad voice and opened the cage. The parrot flew away! Nathan started crying. He realised his mistake and confessed to his father. His father was very glad with Nathan’s honesty.
