In a beautiful garden, there lived many creatures. Word had spread that there was a thief among them. Mr. Beetle was worried that his house would be the next target because he had already gathered food for the winter. One night, Mr. Beetle decided to be on the lookout for the thief. He took out his spyglasses from his cupboard. He stood at the window of his house and saw a pretty ladybird and a black spider approaching. He wanted to go and talk to them but he had to protect his house from the thief. While Mr. Beetle was looking at the ladybird, he noticed that the black spider was coming closer. He was worried for the ladybird and decided to save her from the spider. He quickly closed the window and went out to confront the spider. He ran towards the spider. He threatened the spider and warned him to go back. The spider tried to say something but Mr. Beetle didn’t listen to him.

The spider went away. Then, Mr. Beetle turned to return home. He found that the main door was open. He rushed into the house and was shocked to see that all his food had disappeared. He went out again to look for the thief but nobody was there. Then, he took his spyglasses and looked through the window. He was shocked when he saw the ladybird in the distance with all the food. Feeling upset, he went to report the matter to the garden police. He told the police officer everything. Then, the police told him, “We had sent the black spider to help you but you chased him away.” Then, the police officer suggested to Mr. Beetle not to judge anyone by his/her appearances. Mr. Beetle was ashamed and realised his mistake. The next day, the police arrested the ladybird and gave all the food back to Mr. Beetle.
