Sheikh was staying at his cousin Irfan’s house, once. He had gone there for a short visit, but overstayed. In spite of many hints from his hosts, to leave, Sheikh refused to go. One day, Irfan’s wife started crying, saying that she had a terrible stomachache. She told Sheikh that it was exactly like the pain Sheikh’s mother once had. She asked him to get her the medicine from his village, the same medicine that had cured his mother. Sheikh instantly agreed to go and fetch the medicine. Irfan’s wife further suggested that it would be such a bother for Sheikh to come back all the way with the medicine, so he could just take it from the doctor and send it to Irfan. Sheikh agreed and said that he would leave next morning, as it was too late right then. Irfan’s wife told Irfan the next morning that finally she had managed to send Sheikh away. Irfan was worried about her pain, so she said, “But I have no stomachache!” “And I haven’t gone either!” Sheikh said, springing out from under the bed! “Oh no!” exclaimed Irfan’s wife.
