A hungry squirrel was searching for food. Suddenly, he heard strange noises from a field near by. The noises scared him and he wanted to run away from there. But he thought, ‘Let me see where this noise is coming from.’ The squirrel followed the sounds until he reached two drums lying under a huge tree. Again, he heard the strange noises. Frightened, he climbed up the tree. Hiding behind the trunk of the tree, he watched. Whenever the branches swayed in the wind or a fruit would fall on the drums, there would be a strange noise. The squirrel went near the drums and climbed all over them. Nothing strange happened. So he was no longer afraid. Looking at the little fruits lying all around the drums, he scuttled down happily. Not only had the squirrel overcome his fear, but by a stroke of luck, he had also found his lunch.
