The merry-go-round in the park was unlike all other rides. Instead of animals, the seats for riders were in the form of vampires, demons and ogres. All the children stayed away from the merry-go-round because it scared them. It was Halloween. Tom and Sam wanted to ride the merry-go-round. They were always fascinated by it. However, until then, they could never ride it because there was no one to start the ride. Surprisingly, that day, a squint-eyed man with bushy eyebrows offered to give them a ride. Ecstatic, Tom sat on the vampire seat, while Sam chose the ogre. They shrieked and laughed as the merry-go-round went round and round. Once it stopped, the boys went to Gary’s Halloween party. “Well, here are a vampire and an ogre!” announced Gary’s parents. Tom and Sam looked at each other astonished. Blood dripped from Tom’s mouth, and Sam looked hideous and green.
