Once, a shoemaker lived with his seven daughters in a town. An orphan named Anthony worked for the shoemaker. Every day, the shoemaker made shoes for his seven daughters. The daughters’ shoes were torn the next morning. No one knew how that happened. One day, the curious Anthony hid in the balcony after work. At midnight, he saw the patterned floor opened up to reveal a staircase and the seven daughters went down the stairs. Anthony followed them. They met seven handsome princes and danced all night. Anthony saw some ruby trees and picked a few rubies. When the daughters’ shoes tore, they climbed up the stairs. Anthony followed them back. The next morning, Anthony told the shoemaker what had happened and gave him the rubies as proof. The shoemaker called the seven princes. He liked them and married his seven daughters to them. Anthony was given lots of gold, and he lived happily ever after.
