When Princess Priscilla wanted something, she would create such a scene, shouting and crying and screaming, that the king and the queen finally had to give in. One day, the princess created a rumpus because she wanted a pet goat! All efforts to persuade her that a goat in the palace would be a headache proved an exercise in futility. She refused to give up the idea. Thus Jessie, the goat, arrived in the palace. The princess tied a blue ribbon around her neck and bows on her little horns. She followed the princess everywhere. Within a few days, curtains were chewed up, the table-cloths were dragged down, with vases and dishes crashing and shattering, the flowers were eaten up! Jessie went into the kitchen and butted the kitchen-maids and cooks! The queen finally decided to teach Priscilla a lesson and gave her favourite gown to Jessie! When the princess saw her gown in tatters, out went the royal goat!
